History of White and Green Tea
Scientific name: Camellia sinensis
English name: Green & White tea
Both white tea and green tea are derived from the Camellia sinensis plant and are among the most natural and popular teas.
White tea: Traditionally cultivated in China and India. White tea leaves are obtained from the buds and young leaves of the plant and are naturally dried in the shade. Due to its gentle production process and minimal processing, this tea contains the highest levels of antioxidants and has a mild, natural flavor.
Green tea: Green tea also originates from East Asian countries such as China and Japan. Its production process mainly involves quickly drying the leaves by steaming to prevent oxidation. Green tea is considered one of the healthiest beverages due to its higher retention of nutrients and antioxidants.
