History of Oolong
Scientific Name: Camellia sinensis
English Name: Oolong Tea
Oolong tea is a type of tea made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant and has a specific processing method. After harvesting the leaves from the farm, they undergo oxidation, which typically takes two to three days. Then, the leaves are rolled and dried. The result of this process is a tea with a flavor profile between black tea and green tea. The name "Oolong" means "Black Dragon," and this tea is mostly consumed in China and Taiwan. In many Asian countries, drinking tea is an essential part of the culture and social gatherings and is one of the important symbols of hospitality.
