How and When to Use

• For every two cups of water, add one teaspoon of Taksoo Black Tea “Kaleh Morcheh” to water at 100°C and let it steep for five minutes.

History of Black Tea

English Name: Black Tea

The name “Kaleh Morcheh” black tea comes from the appearance of its round, brown granules that resemble an ant’s head. To produce this type of tea, black tea leaves are placed in rollers with very sharp teeth, which crush and then curl the leaves. The production process of this tea differs from regular tea, as the leaves are transformed into fine strips. Because of this special processing method, “Kaleh Morcheh” tea brews very quickly. Black tea is obtained from the Camellia sinensis plant and is one of the most popular beverages in the world. The first CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) machine for black tea processing was commissioned in 1930 at the Amgoorie Tea Estate in Assam under the supervision of Sir William McKercher. Since the 1950s, the use of this machine has expanded in India and Africa, resulting in faster production of black tea.
