Variations in people's skin color are due to differences in melanin levels, and darker skin produces more melanin. Melanin is a brown pigment produced by melanocyte cells, and its production depends on several factors, including genetics, sun exposure, exposure to certain chemicals, hormones, and skin injuries. It's important to note that melanin itself acts as a protective factor against sunlight. Therefore, people with lighter skin are more sensitive to sunlight.

Naturally, melanin is evenly distributed in the skin. If melanin is overproduced in specific areas or distributed abnormally, spots form. Mascani Anti-Spot Cream helps reduce and remove melasma, freckles, lentigines (lentigines are round spots, usually brown to black, and surrounded by normal skin), and other types of hyperpigmentation. Below are the key ingredients in this cream:

SulforaWhite is a plant-based nutrient rich in sulforaphane with strong antioxidant properties. This compound effectively inhibits the natural skin hormone that stimulates skin pigmentation and, by preventing melanin formation, helps brighten the skin.

Butyl Resorcinol (BUTYL RESORCINOL) has very strong inhibitory effects on the enzymes involved in the melanin-production process. By binding irreversibly to tyrosinase enzyme receptors, it prevents the formation of skin pigments. With its strong brightening effect, butyl resorcinol eliminates spots caused by sunlight, pregnancy, aging, scars, and acne, and is effective on brown spots on the face, neck, body, and chest.

Alpha Arbutin is an anti-pigmentation compound that helps brighten the skin by reducing melanin (the pigment responsible for skin color) production at the skin’s surface. Alpha arbutin works by inhibiting tyrosinases (enzymes involved in melanin production), thereby reducing pigment formation and dark spots. This compound also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents and can be effective in reducing skin inflammation and redness.

Vitamin B3 or Niacinamide reduces dark spots and brightens the skin by disrupting the function of pigment-producing skin cells. This vitamin also regulates sebum secretion, reduces acne, and helps heal redness, inflammation, and acne scars.

Licorice Extract; minimizes tyrosinase enzyme production and thus prevents the formation of dark spots. This extract contains a compound called liquiritin, which not only inhibits the formation of new spots but can also fade existing ones.
